As part of UNR Diversity and Inclusion Office’s year-long Dialogue, Equity and Democracy Series (https://www.unr.edu/diversity/dialogue-equity-democracy), please join in the upcoming panel, on September 29th at 4:00 pm, Times of Political and Social Unrest: A Jewish High Holiday Reflection—a conversation with colleagues, students, and community leaders:
Atty Garfinkel, Director of Hillel, Northern Nevada; Dr. Deborah Achtenberg, Professor Emeritus; Matt Lacoff, Student and President of Alpha Epsilon Pi; and Tanya Nawrocki, Student and Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
The Jewish High Holy Days, which began with Rosh Hashanah, this year, on the evening of September 6th, and culminated at Yom Kippur, on the evening of September 16th will provide the context for a conversation on developing the skills of introspection, reflection, and more positive human relations during these times of extreme political divisiveness—racial-ethnic, socio-cultural, ideological and religious, among other.
Please register on Zoom to attend (https://unr.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUucOugqD4tGty9Ren6J4Hpr0P-yOG_36y7).
