The Colors of You Art Expo: Announcement & Invitation to Participate
Do you consider yourself an artist?
Have you always wanted to make a short film with friends?
Are you interested in creating/showcasing art pieces that represent you?
The Residence Life, Housing & Food Services (RLHFS) Diversity, Social Justice, and Inclusion (DSJI) team would like to welcome artists from all backgrounds to submit their work to be showcased this spring during our art expo. This year’s theme is “The Colors of You” which invites artists to create works with featured themes and materials as diverse as the artists who created them. We are accepting artwork in the forms of paintings, collages, photography, digital art, sculpture, short films, pottery, and more! DSJI hopes that through this art expo, the immersive experiences, installations, and dialogs provide visitors with a rare opportunity to reflect on the powerful use of art to promote diversity, provide insight into our common humanity, as well as celebrating the differences that make us all unique at the University of Nevada, Reno.
All are invited to participate in sharing their work (flyers attached).
