Job Description

I started in June of 2021, as a Program Coordinator for the Zero Suicide Initiative; facilitating outreach, training the Zero Suicide framework, and supporting Zero Suicide Leadership Teams implementing ZS at their healthcare and behavioral health care facilities. I am currently helping to transition the Zero Suicide Program Initiative to be housed within the statewide Crisis Now Model; and developing Trauma-Informed Care & Crisis Response training curriculum for Peers’, under the Health Disparities Grant.

As of today, I have worked for CASAT for 54 weeks; holding the position of Program Coordinator for Zero Suicide, and Workforce Development.

Work History

I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist & 11-years the Founder & Executive Director of a behavioral healthcare resource in Nevada, named Desert Rose Counseling Group, and currently d/b/a Reach-In Now™. Since retiring from playing professional women’s basketball in 2005 (Liga Basket, Italia), I have worked in healthcare and specialized in emergency mental health housing, treatment; and suicide prevention. In 2020, I designed and codeveloped a mobile health application also called Reach-In Now™. In 2020, I began moderating public health events, speaking and facilitating conference workshops. In 2022, I earned an invitation to join the storied cohort of TEDx Speakers at TEDx Wilmington; which was the very first organized TED group, and has the largest global reach of 35m and counting.

Personal Bio

I am originally from the San Francisco, Bay Area. I was raised in the town of Santa Rosa- about 45 minutes from beautiful country, in every direction (North of the SF bay, East of Bodega Bay, West of Sonoma & Napa Valley Wine Country, South of National Parks, Springs & Volcanos).

I enjoy all sports. Basketball is my first love; although, I have retired into dreaming about being able to play golf way more than I do!

Fun fact about me: I am a super fan of the Back to the Future Trilogy, and I can recite all of the movies almost word for word.
