Job Description
Currently I am a Project Manager at CASAT. As a Project Manager I provide support for my assigned grants and contracts with specific responsibility for the planning, provision, and oversight related to the execution of project activities and timely completion of project milestones and deliverables. My duties for this position include: managing relationships within CASAT, with project participants, and with funding agencies; serving as the principal investigator (PI) and co-PI on grants and contracts; supervising grant and contract Project Coordinators & Associate Coordinators; maintaining budgets, and generating project reports for submission to federal and state funding agencies. I am also responsible for identifying funding opportunities as well as developing, writing, and submitting competitive proposals and continuation proposals. In addition, I represent CASAT on the DHS Courses and Curriculum Committee meetings, asssit with the CASAT Care Committee activities, member of the CASAT Management Team and at times are appointed to different CASAT committees.

I started at CASAT in late 2002 as a Graduate Research Assistant. In May 2004 I graduated from the Counseling and Educational Psychology program with an emphasis in higher education. After I graduated I remained at CASAT creating and leading the CASAT Care Committee, assisting with internal paperwork and assisting with the Mountain West ATTC activities. I was hired as administrative faculty on the Mountain West ATTC as a Workforce Development Specialist in December 2004 and have been at CASAT ever since. I have worked most positions here at CASAT, including conferences, front desk, CASAT academic advising & recruitment, teaching online & in-person CAS courses, training & event planning, and leading a Native American Leadership Institute. In addition to these many hats, I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and Distance Credentialed Counselor (DCC).
Work History
I started my grandmothers cafe washing dishes, serving hot coco at the local fairs at the age of 12. From 1999 – 2000 Juvenile Delinquent Counselor (intern), Department of Family and Youth Services, Las Vegas, NV and from 2001 – 2002 I was the Lead Instructor, Orange County Department of Education, Mentone, California. When I moved to Las Vegas for my bachelors degree I worked at the Mirage training Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins (my dream job). Eventually I left the Mirage and moved on to Reno to get my degree. During the this transitional time I worked in the service industry as a waitress and bartender.
Personal Bio
I LOVE the outdoors which always includes swimming, jet skiing and boating. You can never get me to leave the ocean when I finally get to visit it and body surfing is a must. I have 2 boys, Colt and Rylan, and a husband to travels a lot (salesman). Currently we have no pets, unless the field mice and snake that got into the house just recently counts. I enjoy arts and crafts when I ever have free time.
